Trans-formation makeup
When I had my HoneyTrap boutique in the late noughties, a lot of men would come to me, not to buy lingerie or Makeover vouches for their partners but to ask my advice for themselves, about shapewear, about wigs, shoes and mostly about makeup. Lots of boys like dressing like girls! This was not news to me! I’m a child of the ’80s, but I did instead end up specialising in boy-to-girl makeup– not Drag, that’s a whole other art form.
This also led to real Trans women on their journeys coming to me for makeup applications and tutorials. These are some of the most exciting and rewarding times of my life! I love getting to know the story of the person sitting in my chair and witnessing their joy with their reflection post-transformation. It’s magic.
